Cedar River WaterShed directions:

Directions to Cedar River Watershed FIELD TRIP: I-90 East to Exit 32. Go right (south) at top of ramp. (This is 436th Avenue which becomes Cedar Falls Road.) Drive about 4-5 miles to end of road and meet at CRWS Education Center. There is parking right in front. NOTE: THEY ARE NOT OPEN (AT THE EDUCATION CENTER) ON WEEKENDS BETWEEN OCTOBER 1 AND MAY 18!


Parks and Community Services - Juanita Bay Park Tours

W aterResourcesEducationCenter Directions: I-5 to 2A Exit (toward Camas) just before getting to Columbia River bridge to Portland. Go under I-5 and stay on that road until the first exit (Columbia House Blvd/Columbia Way). Take that exit and go under the railroad tracks through the tunnel. Go left at the light onto Columbia Way and continue to the end of it---about 1 1/2 miles---until you reach the Center. There is plenty of parking behind the Center itself or in the "Engineering" lot.

Trojan Nuclear Plant

Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge Nisqually NWR is located about 10 miles east of Olympia on the north side of Interstate 5. Take Exit 114, turn north under the freeway, then turn right on Brown Farm Road. A $3.00 entrance fee is required.

In lieu of class : Attend Issaquah Salmon Hatchery Festival (directions) October 5 or 6. OR... Go to Cedar River WaterShed October 6. OR...write one-page report on hatcheries , turn in Oct 9. BRING SOMETHING BACK TO CLASS FROM FESTIVAL or CRWS if you don't see me there (PROOF OF ATTENDANCE!)
