 ICI is dedicated to providing the most useful and up to date information that will help you understand the medical terms, diagnostic significance, and any other aspect of your medical record that you want explained. This service in no way is intended to replace the information or care that you receive from your primary health care professional; it is available to you to complement and augment that information.

ICI wishes to work with your HCP to make sure you understand fully the nature of your condition, the expectations of your treatment, and the options that are available to you. 

ICI will:

INTERPRET and provide information concerning and explain generally: disease processes; laboratory and x-ray evaluations; treatment norms and statistics; medical terminologies and jargon; technologies and procedures.

SEARCH medical literature and contact specialists in the appropriate field for referrals to sources of information so that the client may evaluate such information him- or herself.

 

SUMMARIZE your medical record and history for the purpose of review by the client, medical/legal proceedings or for a healthcare provider who wishes such a summary.

 

ACT AS client ombudsman, advocate, intermediary, educator. ICI will review the medical history and record of a given individual through documents provided by your and/or your HCP and by confidential interview.
