Interpretive Consultations, Inc. (ICI)  respects your right to privacy. By visiting this site, users accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

IP Addresses

An IP (Internet Protocol) address is a unique identification number that is assigned to a computer. Networks route data, via TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol), based on IP addresses. ICE  may collect and log IP address information but will not match it with records containing personal information, except to identify users in order to protect ICI’s legal rights or if required to do so by law enforcement authorities. ICI may keep IP address information to properly administer its systems and to gather aggregate information about visitors to measure usage of various sections and make improvements to its website.

Cookies

Cookies are small data files placed on the hard drive browser files of computers to automatically identify individual browsers to ICI’s server. ICI may use cookies in its website to make the user experience more robust and convenient. Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but users can change their browser settings to prevent the acceptance of cookies. Collecting information from cookies does not allow ICI to personally identify users.

E-mail Communication

When general inquiries are received by e-mail, ICI stores the questions and the e-mail address information so responses can be made electronically. Unless otherwise required by statute, ICI does not identify publicly who sends questions or comments to its sites. 

Use of Identifying Information

All personally identifying information collected will be held in confidence and is collected only with the users’ permission by choosing to participate. ICI reserves the right to analyze information collected for evaluation and improvement of ICI’s online educational activities but will not share personally identifying information with any other organization.

Computer Fraud and Abuse Act

Unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information on this website are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 and the National Information Infrastructure Protection Act.

ICI’s website may contain links to other sites. ICI is not responsible for the privacy practices of sites not maintained by ICI. Users entering the sites of other organizations are encouraged to read the Privacy Policies of those organizations. Inclusion of links from ICI sites to non-ICI sites does not imply ICI’s endorsement of the external sites to which it links.
